My voice is categorized as a Spinto Soprano. It's an unusual voice type that has both a strong high range and a warm, full bodied lower range. It allows me to sing what I consider to be the most dramatic, passionate roles written for women: Tosca, Butterfly, Turandot and Aida, among many others. I started singing at 27 and performed my first title role (Madama Butterfly) just 5 years later.
The photo to the left was taken during my performance of Tosca with Lincoln Opera of Chicago.
